Resolution Money-Back Guarantee*
If TaxWave accepts your case for resolution, we guarantee a resolution — or your resolution fee back.
A resolution is an arrangement with the IRS that addresses your tax debt — for example, settling it for less than the full amount owed, pausing collection, or paying it over time through an installment agreement. This is not a complete list. See the relief options you may qualify for.
TaxWave cannot guarantee a specific result, amount, or program with the IRS, or that a resolution will be reached within any particular period of time. Every resolution is subject to IRS eligibility rules and timelines, and depends on you providing complete, accurate, and timely information and documents. See below for additional terms.
No-Cost Appeal Guarantee
If the IRS rejects an Offer in Compromise, an installment agreement, or a Currently Not Collectible request we submit for you, we appeal the decision at no additional fee.
Not every case qualifies for every program, and we only pursue the ones your numbers support. If the IRS rejects one, TaxWave files the appeal within the IRS deadline. If the rejection is upheld, we move you to the next-best resolution option.
Appeals are filed through the review process the IRS provides for each decision. For a denied Currently Not Collectible request, that means a Collection Due Process hearing or a collection appeal of the enforcement action that follows, where available. An appeal may require additional documentation and depends on your participation and cooperation. The No-Cost Appeal Guarantee applies only to the covered federal individual income tax debt described in the Additional Terms below, and is subject to the same exclusions.

Additional Terms
*The Resolution Money-Back Guarantee only applies to the fee paid for the Resolution phase, after TaxWave has completed Discovery and accepted your case for resolution in writing. It does not apply to the Discovery phase, tax preparation or filing, any other TaxWave service, or any amount paid to the IRS.
The guarantee applies only to federal individual income tax debt (Form 1040, including self-employment tax and the related penalties and interest) assessed by the IRS and listed in your engagement agreement. It does not extend to state, local, or foreign taxes; payroll or employment taxes, including the Trust Fund Recovery Penalty; business entity returns (such as Forms 1120, 1120-S, or 1065); excise, estate, or gift taxes; audits, audit reconsideration, or any dispute over the amount owed, including Appeals or Tax Court proceedings on those disputes; liabilities that arise after your engagement begins; or any case involving tax fraud, tax evasion, a fraud penalty, or an IRS criminal investigation.
A resolution counts as achieved if, for the covered income tax liabilities in your engagement agreement, an Offer in Compromise or other settlement is accepted, an installment agreement of any type is approved, collection is suspended (including Currently Not Collectible status), or the liability is paid in full, fully abated, expires, or is otherwise satisfied — including when it is not the program you preferred. Penalty abatement alone is not a resolution. A resolution is not achieved only when TaxWave confirms in writing that every available option, including any appeal, has been pursued.
Because the outcome ultimately depends on your participation, the guarantee requires you to provide honest, complete, and accurate information; provide requested documents generally within 14 days (or sooner when an IRS deadline requires); stay responsive; file required returns and make current-year tax payments during your case; and keep your payment agreement with TaxWave current. The guarantee is void if you provide false or incomplete information, miss document deadlines, do not respond for 14 consecutive days, default on your payment agreement or on IRS requirements, decline an approved resolution, end the engagement early, file for bankruptcy during the engagement, or dispute your charges or file a chargeback.
To request a refund, contact TaxWave in writing within 60 days of our written notice that a resolution could not be achieved; approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 30 days. Full terms are in your engagement agreement, which controls if anything on this page differs.
